Your wedding dress is handled with care from collection to return. 

Each gown is individually assessed and treated using the most suitable cleaning methods, including specialist by-hand techniques for delicate areas.

Our team uses a combination of dry cleaning, wet cleaning, and hand cleaning processes to achieve the best possible finish, followed by careful pressing or steaming. As preservation is chosen, your dress will be wrapped in pH-neutral tissue and presented in a keepsake box.

With DPD’s tracked, insured courier collection and delivery, your dress is in safe hands with Dorothy.

Turnaround time is typically 5-6 weeks unless you select an express service.

Important Information

Fabrics & Cleaning Policy
Dorothy will inspect your dress upon arrival and clean it to the highest possible standard. However, some fabrics present known challenges:

Silk: We will perform one clean. Heavily soiled silk dresses will not be treated further to avoid damage. Remaining stains will stay, and we cannot accept responsibility for issues.

Mixed Fibres: May react unpredictably (shrinkage, cracking, blooming).

Due to the risk of distortion, we do not clean dresses cut on the bias.

Dresses with excessive embellishments may be declined if cleaning could cause damage.

Important:
Dresses that are heavily soiled or require extra attention may incur additional charges.

Packaging:
Use only approved Dorothy packaging. Do not send your dress in its original or personal boxes.
